Con el mayor uso de la tecnología para apoyar el aprendizaje de los estudiantes, las escuelas de la parroquia de Jefferson ofrecerán seis talleres de alfabetización informática para padres en asociación con la Cámara de Comercio Hispana. Las clases se ofrecerán tanto en inglés como en español, y en un entorno socialmente distante.
Los talleres de alfabetización informática cubrirán cómo usar los Chromebooks, la integración de teléfonos inteligentes, Google Classroom, Google Meet, la creación de una cuenta de Gmail y otras aplicaciones para ayudar a los estudiantes a participar en el aprendizaje virtual y tradicional. El distrito proporcionará computadoras para su uso durante las sesiones de capacitación.

JP Schools Hosts Parent Computer Literacy Workshops
With the increased use of technology to support student learning, Jefferson Parish Schools will offer six computer literacy workshops for parents in partnership with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Classes will be offered in both English and Spanish, and in a socially distant setting.
The computer literacy workshops will cover how to use Chromebooks, smartphone integration, Google Classroom, Google Meet, creating a Gmail account, and other apps to help students participating in virtual and traditional learning. Computers will be provided by the district for use during the training sessions.
