El NOPD hace un arresto por
robo de vehículo en Toulouse

El Departamento de Policía de
Nueva Orleans anunció el lunes
que arrestó a Coty Thomas Jr. por
un presunto robo de automóvil
en la cuadra 500 de Toulouse
Street en el Barrio Francés que
ocurrió el 18 de junio.
Después de una investigación
adicional, el NOPD dice que los
ofi ciales descubrieron que los
detectives del Sexto Distrito
también buscaban a Thomas por
un intento de robo a mano armada en julio en la cuadra 3300
de Magazine Street. Thomas fue
fi chado por robo de autos, posesión ilegal de cosas robadas e
intento de robo a mano armada.
Los robos de automóviles en el
Barrio Francés aumentaron un
25% con respecto al año pasado según los datos del Panel
de Delitos del Ayuntamiento de
Nueva Orleans.
En lo que va del año, se han producido 44 robos de automóviles
en el Barrio Francés.
The New Orleans Police Department announced Monday that
it arrested Coty Thomas Jr. for
an alleged carjacking in the 500
block of Toulouse Street in the
French Quarter that occurred on
June 18.
After further investigation, the
NOPD says offi cers discovered
that Sixth District detectives
were also looking for Thomas for
an attempted armed robbery in
July in the 3300 block of Magazine Street. Thomas was booked
for auto burglary, unlawful possession of stolen property and
attempted armed robbery.
Auto thefts in the French Quarter were up 25% over last year
according to data from the New
Orleans City Council Crime
Panel. So far this year, there
have been 44 auto thefts in the
French Quarter.
