Este mes les presentamos a Lilly Varela Y Gerry Figueroa los dos trabajan con el Departamento de EMS New Orleans, son dos Hispanos que han confrontado hasta ahora el Covid 19 y muchas cosas mas y han visto el incremento de casos del Covid 19 en nuestra comunidad.

Varela Nacida en New orleans de Padre Mexicano y Madre Hondureña estudio para ser paramédico aproximadamente cuatro años y se integro a trabajar al service de EMS NEW ORLEANS hace 5 años “ nos contaba sus grandes experiencia que ha vivido ayudando a la comunidad hispana a diario no solo con la pandememia Tambien Lilly ayuda a los hispanos con las traduciones”
Figueroa nacido en Cuba y que vivio en España antes llegar a New Orleans nos contaba que el termino ejerciendo la Carrera de paramédico ya que despues de haber llegado de España y graduado como Medico en Cuba le fue imposible entrar a la escuela de Medicina Gerry Figueroa aparte es el Director De Eventos Especiales Para EMS New Orleans, La verdad un gram Orgullo Hispano, Figueroa se integro al equipo para ayudar durante esta pandemia y Tambien nos decia que le preocupa la cantidad de hispanos que estan mirando que han contraido el Covid 19 y les recordaba hacer consiencia de lavarse las manos usar mascarrilas y mantener una Buena hygiene.

This month we introduce you to Lilly Varela and Gerry Figueroa.They both work with the EMS New Orleans Department, they are two Hispanics who have faced Covid 19 and many other things so far and have seen the increase in Covid 19 cases in our community.

Varela Born in New Orleans to a Mexican father and a Honduran mother, she studied to be a paramedic for approximately four years and joined the service of EMS NEW ORLEANS 5 years ago.

“She told us about her great experiences that she has lived helping the Hispanic community on a daily basis, not only with pandememia Lilly also helps Hispanics with translations ”
Figueroa born in Cuba and who lived in Spain before arriving in New Orleans told us that he ended up exercising his Paramedic Career since after arriving from Spain and graduated as a Physician in Cuba it was impossible for him to enter the Gerry Figueroa School of Medicine apart is the Director of Special Events for EMS New Orleans, Truly a Hispanic Pride gram, Figueroa joined the team to help during this pandemic and also told us that he is concerned about the number of Hispanics who are looking at who have contracted Covid 19 and tell them he remembered to make conscience to wash the hands to use masks and to maintain a good hygiene.
