Delcy Rodríguez está segura de que el mandatario venezolano ganará las elecciones que se celebrarán antes del 30 de abril
La presidenta de la Asamblea Constituyente de Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, dijo estar segura de que el mandatario Nicolás Maduro ganará las elecciones que se celebrarán antes del 30 de abril, de forma anticipada por decisión de ese órgano oficialista.
«El presidente Nicolás Maduro ha obtenido el respaldo de los trabajadores que representan la mayoría, allí está un representante de ellos gobernando, y va a seguir gobernando Venezuela», aseguró la poderosa dirigente, en una entrevista de televisión transmitida este domingo.
Rodríguez, quien encabezará un movimiento para impulsar la reelección de Maduro, aseguró que con el líder socialista Hugo Chávez (1999-2013) «llegó el pueblo a (el palacio presidencial de) Miraflores».
«Nosotros (el chavismo), en esta elección, mantendremos al pueblo en la silla de Miraflores», dijo.
La Constituyente convocó el pasado martes elecciones presidenciales para el «primer cuatrimestre de 2018», en respuesta -argumentó- a las sanciones que impuso la Unión Europea contra siete altos funcionarios venezolanos, entre ellos el número dos del chavismo, Diosdado Cabello.
Para la presidenta del órgano -desconocido por la oposición y varios países- es «tragicómico que gobiernos que el año pasado pidieron el adelanto de las elecciones ahora digan que no se puede acudir a elecciones prematuras».
Analistas y opositores habían advertido que el gobierno adelantaría la fecha para aprovechar la crisis de credibilidad y las divisiones de la oposición, cuya coalición, la Mesa de la Unidad Democrática (MUD), quedó excluida de los comicios por orden del Tribunal Supremo de Justicia (TSJ).
Mientras los opositores deciden cómo encararán los comicios, Maduro, quien se considera el candidato del «pueblo revolucionario», está de lleno en la campaña por su reelección.
El sábado anunció que Rodríguez estará al frente del movimiento Somos Venezuela, que será «legalizado» como partido y estará en el tarjetón electoral para las presidenciales, junto al PSUV y el Gran Polo Patriótico, postulando al candidato de las fuerzas revolucionarias.
Según el gobierno, «Somos Venezuela», lanzado en junio de 2017, tiene 115.350 miembros que ubican a los millones de inscritos en el Carnet de la Patria, una tarjeta que permite el acceso a programas sociales y que es vista por la oposición como un mecanismo de control social.
