Luis Lacalle Pou y Alberto Fernández mantienen una reunión bilateral en UruguayMontevideo, 19 nov (EFE).- Los presidentes de Uruguay, Luis Lacalle Pou, y de Argentina, Alberto Fernández, están reunidos en la estancia presidencial de Anchorena (suroeste del país), informaron este jueves a Efe fuentes de la Cancillería uruguaya.

La reunión repentina de ambos mandatarios se dio después de que Fernández anunciara por redes que había dado negativo en su segundo test PCR, por lo que quedó habilitado para ingresar a territorio uruguayo, según las restricciones establecidas por el Ministerio de Salud Pública (MSP) de este país.

Según detalla la prensa local, la reunión fue pautada por el canciller uruguayo, Francisco Bustillo, amigo personal de Fernández, cuando ambos coincidieron en la toma de posesión del presidente de Bolivia, Luis Arce.

Posteriormente, la Cancillería confirmó a Efe que el titular de Exteriores también está presente.

El mandatario argentino invitó a Bustillo a compartir su avión presidencial para viajar a la asunción de Arce y, según las informaciones publicadas en Uruguay, en ese encuentro comenzaron las tratativas de esta reunión que comenzó al mediodía y se extenderá hasta la tarde.
Fernández arribó en helicóptero a la estancia presidencial uruguaya, ubicada en el departamento (provincia) de Colonia, y comparte en estos momentos un tradicional asado con Lacalle Pou.
Es la primera vez que ambos mandatarios se reúnen personalmente en 2020, ya que Fernández no pudo acudir a la toma de posesión del presidente uruguayo el pasado 1 de marzo por coincidencia con un discurso suyo en el Parlamento argentino.
Su último encuentro data del 10 de diciembre, cuando comenzó el mandato de Fernández, a cuya toma de posesión acudieron juntos el expresidente uruguayo Tabaré Vázquez (2005-2010 y 2015-2020) y el que sería su sucesor.
Si bien Fernández representa a la izquierda argentina, a diferencia de la coalición de Gobierno de Lacalle Pou (centroderecha), y es un amigo muy cercano del expresidente uruguayo José «Pepe» Mujica (2010-2015), ambos mandatarios aseguran tener una buena relación.
Mujica incluso llegó a ofrecerse como mediador para facilitar una reunión entre ambos presidentes ya que, según él, en el Gobierno argentino «no le daban pelota» a las solicitudes de reunión de Lacalle Pou.

Fernández arrived by helicopter to the Uruguayan presidential stay, located in the department (province) of Cologne, and currently shares a traditional roast with Lacalle Pou.
It is the first time that both representatives have meetd personally in 2020, as Fernández was unable to attend the inauguration of the Uruguayan president on 1 March in coincidence with a speech by him in the Argentine Parliament.

His last meeting dates from December 10, when Fernandez’s term of office began, attended together by former Uruguayan President Tabaré Vázquez (2005-2010 and 2015-2020) and who would be his successor.

Although Fernández represents argentina’s left, unlike the government coalition of Lacalle Pou (centroderecha), and is a close friend of former Uruguayan President José «Pepe» Mujica (2010-2015), both representatives claim to have a good relationship.

Mujica even came on as a mediator to facilitate a meeting between the two presidents as, according to him, in the Argentine government they «did not give ball» to Lacalle Pou’s meeting requests.
