The Sheriff’s Office of St. Tammany Parish says that a man and a woman from the Slidell area are accused of cruelty to a child in a case involving a three-month-old child who died after being transferred to the hospital.

The sheriff’s office says the boy was found unresponsive Monday and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The coroner’s office says the child had a broken arm and it was determined that the injury was not accidental.
