Por medio de un comunicado, la Liga MX dio a conocer que de forma oficial, y con la aprobación de la Asamblea General de Clubes, »se acordó la Sustitución del Certificado de Afiliación del Club Lobos BUAP al Club FC Juárez», por lo que el equipo chihuahuense participará en la temporada 2019-2020 en la Liga MX.

Para esto, la institución mantendrá el mismo cociente de los licántropos, y además adquirirá todas las obligaciones deportivas, es decir, su participación en los Torneos de Fuerzas Básicas Sub-13, Sub-15, Sub-17 y Sub-20, además de la LIGA MX Femenil.

Por otro lado, en el Ascenso MX serán 14 los clubes participantes para el año futbolístico próximo.

Al final, aclaran que para completar los 27 clubes que participarán en la nueva edición de la Copa MX, será el Club Celaya de la división de ascenso la que, por su ubicación en la tabla general sustituya la posición restante.

FC Juárez joins Liga MX; replaces Lobos BUAP
