«Ningún estadounidense sufrió daños en el ataque de anoche. No hemos sufrido bajas mortales».
El ataque de Irán supone la primera respuesta al asesinato del general iraní Qasem Soleimaní la pasada semana cerca del aeropuerto de Bagdad.
«Irán parece estar retirándose»
Trump indicó que, tras el lanzamiento de los misiles, «Irán parece estar retirándose, lo cual es algo bueno para todas las partes interesadas y algo muy bueno para el mundo».
Asimismo, el mandatario pidió a Europa, Rusia y China que «rompan con los resquicios» del acuerdo internacional nuclear (JCPOA, por sus siglas en inglés), alcanzado con Irán en 2015.
Y, a la par, solicitó a la OTAN que se «involucre mucho más» en Oriente Medio.
Por último, Trump envió un mensaje conciliador: «Estados Unidos está preparado para abrazar la paz con todos aquellos que la buscan».

Trump said there were no «fatal casualties» and that the material damage was «minimal» in the ballistic missile attacks launched by Iran on Tuesday against two bases in Iraqi territory.
«No Americans suffered damage in the attack last night. We have not suffered fatal casualties.»
Iran’s attack is the first response to the assassination of Iranian General Qasem Soleimaní last week near the Baghdad airport.
