El presidente ruso, Vladímir Putin, celebra hoy su 67 cumpleaños en plena naturaleza, la taiga siberiana, su lugar preferido de descanso en los últimos años.
«Putin tiene previsto pasar su cumpleaños en plena naturaleza, junto a familiares y seres queridos», informó el fin de semana Dmitri Peskov, portavoz del Kremlin, a la prensa local.
El Kremlin divulgó un vídeo donde se ve a Putin el domingo ascendiendo con la ayuda de un bastón de madera por unas escarpadas colinas cerca del río Yenisei (república de Tuva, limítrofe con Mongolia).
Putin, ataviado con ropa, botas y gorro de camuflaje, aparece haciendo senderismo, recogiendo setas, posando para los fotógrafos y admirando el paisaje y los cañones por los que serpentea el Yenisei, el quinto río más largo del planeta.
Acompañado del ministro de Defensa, Serguéi Shoigú, Putin también tuvo tiempo para recuperar fuerzas con un comida de campaña al más puro estilo militar.
Tradicionalmente, Putin pasa varios días al año en Siberia en el mes de agosto, fechas que aprovecha para hacer ejercicio y pescar, imágenes divulgadas profusamente por la televisión pública para confirmar la buena salud del jefe del Estado.
Según el portavoz presidencial, hoy el jefe del Kremlin recibió numerosas llamadas de felicitación de mandatarios de diferentes países, en su mayoría del espacio postsoviético, pero también del primer ministro israelí, Benjamín Netanyahu.

The Kremlin released a video where Putin is seen on Sunday ascending with the help of a wooden cane through steep hills near the Yenisei River (Republic of Tuva, bordering Mongolia).
Putin, dressed in clothes, boots and camouflage cap, appears hiking, collecting mushrooms, posing for photographers and admiring the landscape and canyons through which the Yenisei, the fifth longest river on the planet, winds.
Accompanied by Defense Minister Sergey Shoigú, Putin also had time to regain strength with a campaign meal in the purest military style.
Traditionally, Putin spends several days a year in Siberia in the month of August, dates used to exercise and fish, images widely disseminated on public television to confirm the good health of the head of state.
According to the presidential spokesman, today the head of the Kremlin received numerous congratulatory calls from leaders of different countries, mostly from the post-Soviet space, but also from the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
