El líder norcoreano Kim Jong Un expresó hoy su confianza de que las conversaciones con Estados Unidos sobre la desnuclearización logren un «gran resultado», al comienzo de su tercera cumbre con el presidente de Corea del Sur, Moon Jae-in, en Pyongyang.
La Tercera Cumbre Intercoreana comenzó ayer, después de que Kim y Moon desfilaron por las calles de Pyongyang en la limusina, en medio de los vítores de miles de norcoreanos que gritaron a su paso «¡Unificación! y ¡Patria, Patria!».
Kim recibió al mandatario surcoreano con un abrazo fuerte y un prolongado apretón de manos, refrendándole su agradecimiento por su apoyo para permitir su histórica cumbre con el presidente estadunidense Donald Trump, celebrada el 12 de junio pasado en Singapur.

«El presidente Moon ayudó a encontrar el inicio de las históricas conversaciones entre Corea del Norte y Estados Unidos», afirmó el presidente del Comité de Asuntos del Estado de la República Popular Democrática de Corea (RPDC), nombre oficial de Corea del Norte.

Gracias a esta reunión, agregó, las condiciones regionales se estabilizaron y ahora esperan un «gran resultado». Una vez más, expreso mi gratitud al presidente Moon por los esfuerzos realizados», subrayó Kim, según reporte de la agencia surcoreana de noticias Yonhap.

El líder norcoreano dijo a Moon que había estado esperando que llegará el día de hoy para recibirlo en su país, que aunque sea humilde, en relación a otras naciones que tal vez ha visitado, Corea del Norte lo recibe de corazón.
Kim dijo que ahora se sentía «muy cerca» del presidente de Corea del Sur, y también le agradeció por tener actualmente las mejores relaciones entre su país y Corea del Sur, así como con Estados Unidos.
El presidente Moon llegó ayer a la capital norcoreana para una visita de tres días, en el marco su tercera cumbre bilateral con el líder norcoreano, luego de las realizadas en la aldea fronteriza de Panmunjom el 27 de abril y el 26 de mayo pasados.
La nueva reunión de líderes comenzó a las 15:45 horas locales (06:45 GMT) en la sede del Comité Central del Partido de los Trabajadores de Corea, dijo en una conferencia de prensa en Seúl Yoon Young-chan, secretario principal del presidente Moon para las relaciones públicas.
De acuerdo con Yoon, el presidente surcoreanao dijo por su parte que era «hora de dar fruto» y agradeció a Kim por su hospitalidad y la gran ceremonia de bienvenida que le dio en el aeropuerto internacional de Pyongyang, con una guardia de honor y una banda militar.

El presidente de Corea del Sur hizo hincapié en la necesidad de mostrarle al mundo que Core del Norte está dispuesto a desnuclearizarse y establecer la paz.

«El mundo entero también está mirando, así que espero que demostremos los frutos de la paz y la prosperidad a todas las personas en el mundo», dijo Moon, quien volverán a reunirse con Kim el miércoles temprano para una segunda ronda de conversaciones.
